Life in Lake St. Louis

Posted by Elizabeth on February 17, 2010

Lake St. Louis was rated number 9 on CNNmoney.com’s 100 Best Places To Live List, and number 15 on the 25 Best Places to Retire List.

Created 40 years ago as a resort community, Lake St. Louis was intended to be a weekend getaway with a large lake, and a location close to St. Louis.  Over time, the resort developed into a town, rather than just a weekend community.  Through meticulous planning, this friendly town is now home to two man-made lakes, five parks, three golf courses, and a 650-horse equestrian center.

Shopping and Dining
Lake St. Louis is one of the area’s premier shopping and dining communities.  With a plethora of cafes and boutiques, you’ll never be far from a relaxing night on the town.

  • The Meadows
The Meadows, an ideal shopping destination, brings a unique concept to St. Charles County.  With beautifully landscaped walkways, convenient storefront parking, and over 30 stores and restaurants, this shopping center is packed with sophisticated style.

Scenery
The advantages of living in St. Lake Louis extend beyond the shopping and dining you’ll experience.  Everywhere you look there is a reminder of how fortunate you are to be a part of this exquisite community.

  • Lakes
Picture this, glistening lakes with waves quietly hitting the docks, boats gently rocking in marinas, and birds flying over the trees as the morning sun rises.  Lake St. Louis’ two lakes and beautiful scenery allow you to live in an atmosphere that seems more reminiscent of a vacation.
  • Parks
Lake St. Louis is home to five beautiful parks.  Its newest,  Hawk Ridge Park, is family friendly and equipped with an all-inclusive playground, pavilion and grills perfect for picnics, and a Spray Area for those who want to stay cool during those hot summer days.

Living in Lake St. Louis
The epitome of “new urban” living, Saratoga Terrace Condominium Homes are affordably priced and masterfully designed.

The city of Lake St. Louis is simply one of the best places to call home.   It offers some of the finest residential amenities available.  With two lakes (550 acres and 75 acres), beautiful beaches, luxury condominiums, swimming pools, horse stables and parks, Lake St. Louis is truly unlike any other community.

  1. I would agree that Lake St. Louis is a fabulous community. I had the pleasure of preparing the development and marketing strategy on the property 20+years ago and working with Dave Jensen, one of the country’s leading land planner, in making the concept into a reality.
