Fischer & Frichtel Builds a Dream Home

Posted by Elizabeth on March 24, 2010

Fischer & Frichtel has been chosen to build the first ever St. Jude’s Dream Home in St. Louis.

Located in Talbridge subdivision in St. Charles, the St. Jude Dream Home home will cover 3,500 square feet with four gorgeous bedrooms, in one and a half stories.  The retail value of the house will be between $400,000 and $500,000 and will be raffled off as part of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.

The St. Jude Dream Home program has raised more than $155 million over the last 18 years and is one of the largest single-event fundraisers for the pediatric hospital nationwide. The program is currently active in over 40 markets, and the home in Talbridge, will be the first Dream Home built in the St. Louis area.

Talbridge
Set in St. Charles on 187 acres of gently rolling terrain, ringed by naturally wooded areas, this community has direct access to local highways while still remaining luxurious.

St. Charles lies at one end of the Katy Trail, a state park enjoyed by bikers and walkers.   Since the late 1970’s, there has been healthy new home construction, commercial expansion, and population growth – truly, the perfect place to enjoy life.

St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment that is not covered by insurance, and no child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.  St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility.  Discoveries made at St. Jude have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

The $100 raffle tickets will be available in June and are reserved on a limited basis. All proceeds go toward helping the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Additional prizes are available including jewelry, shopping sprees, automobiles and groceries which increase your odds of winning.
