Spring Has Sprung!

Posted by Elizabeth on April 7, 2010

Communities all over the Saint Louis area offer a variety of ways to relax, take advantage of the beautiful weather, and learn ways to get the most out of the spring season!

BALLWIN
Truly a haven for the avid golfer.
Ballwin is home to The Ballwin Golf Course- a nine-hole facility that can play over three thousand yards for hard-hitting golfers, and as short as 2,703 yards for finesse golfers.
Formerly Fox Creek Country Club, this course has been completely remodeled, re-seeded, and rebuilt.  The city has converted the fairways and greens from Kentucky Bluegrass to Meyers Zoysia- a more “golfer-friendly” grass.  The Ballwin Golf Course, nestled in one of Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live,” has been awarded for its quality and hosts a variety of professional tournaments.

CHESTERFIELD
Before you plant your garden, gain tips from the area’s experts.
The Chesterfield Beautification Committee will soon host the 2010 Garden Tour which will have six exquisite gardens to display on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s tour features three gardens that are all visually connected and have enhanced each neighborhood. Two gardens highlight creative ways to plant in challenging yards that have uneven slopes and water drainage issues.  Many wonderful gardening concepts will be showcased along with Chesterfield’s most unique gardens.

CREVE COEUR
Spend an evening outside enjoying wonderful food and a clear spring sky with family and friends.
Bristol’s Seafood Grill features a variety of seafood fresh from markets across the globe. The seafood is prepared in a way that compliments the region it came from.  The menu varies daily, but always features a daily oyster bar and a broad selection of wine and cocktails.

DARDENNE PRAIRIE
Play to the inner car enthusiast in you.
Immaculate Conception of Dardenne parish is hosting its 1st Annual Classic Car Show, Saturday April 17th, 2010. From 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.   Admire the most classic cars in the area, enjoy games, face painting, and raffles.  All proceeds from food and games benefit the Saint Vincent DePaul Food Pantry; admission is free for the public.

KIRKWOOD
Buy the freshest produce around.
The Kirkwood Farmers’ Market is now open!  The market offers everything from homegrown and organic produce, to bedding plants and seafood.  For over 30 years, the Kirkwood Farmer’s Market has offered a selection unlike any market in the area.   For the best selection from local farmers, visit early on Saturday mornings.

Kirkwood is also hosting the annual Downtown Kirkwood Festival of Food & Flowers on Saturday, May 22.  The festival will include free flowers, gardening advice, an art show, and live music.

LAKE SAINT LOUIS
Experience dining the way it was meant to be.
Donatelli’s Bistro owner, Don Baker wanted his restaurant to reflect his personality – unique and fun. His years of experience in the restaurant industry has lead him to figure out what people want; a dining experience that is much more than just great food. People want an extraordinary experience that leaves them laughing with friends, singing to songs of their past, and smiling as they savor great food.

SAINT ALBANS
Live life like never before.
Life in Saint Albans offers a unique “resort” lifestyle.   Tucked in rolling hills, Saint Albans residents can walk to the market while taking in the beautiful scenery.  Saint Albans’ beach is often home to afternoon picnickers, and its lake and jogging trail is the perfect spot for a brisk walk.  Country Club members are able to swim at the pool or spend an afternoon of golfing on one of the two championship courses.

SAINT CHARLES
A great place to relax with friends.
Saint Charles is a place where history, nature, art, and great wine all come together to create a destination unlike any other. Historic Missouri Wine Country is the perfect place to relax on a Saturday afternoon – sip on your favorite Shiraz while taking in the exquisite scenery with friends.
Historic Saint Charles is home to quaint shops, great food, and one-of-a-kind art.  Spend an evening on a restaurant patio with live music, and fire pits.  There truly is no better way to spend a spring evening.

SUNSET HILLS
Stroll through Sunset Hills to experience beauty in its most natural form.
Not only does Sunset Hills’ natural scenery take your breath away, the city is also home to three parks, and soon- an aquatic center.  Sunset Hills is the perfect place to enjoy an evening walk, spend a Saturday hiking, or relax on your porch and appreciate the gentle beauty of the leaves budding on the trees.

Fischer & Frichtel communities are nestled in each of these cities.  There’s never been a better time to enjoy the lifestyle that Fischer & Frichtel homeowners experience.  Unique to all other surrounding neighborhoods, Fischer & Frichtel homes are built with innovation, integrity, and fine craftsmanship.
Take advantage of Fischer & Frichtel’s April incentives and the Home Buyer Tax Credit to begin the next, most exiting, chapter of your life.
